Invasion of Prussia

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

You must own "Prelude to Waterloo" by Matrix Games. The Old patched Talonsoft version should work but has not been tested.

The desired end result of the installation is to have a folder called "Prussia 1806" that is a duplicate folder of "Prelude to Waterloo" without the 3 ptw game folders (LN, QB, and TB) in it. Here's one way to accomplish this:

1. Create a new folder called "Prussia 1806". This folder can be anywhere, but probably best in the same folder where your other BGN folders reside.

2. Open your old "Prelude to Waterloo" folder and COPY ALL of the contents into the new "Prussia 1806" folder.

3. Open your "Prussia 1806" folder and delete the 3 game folders called LN, QB, and TB.

4. COPY the file called "Invasion of Prussia.zip" into your Prussia 1806 folder.

5. Unzip and answer YES to overwrite all files.

CREATE A DESKTOP SHORTCUT for Invasion of Prussia:

(Note: the "BG_START.EXE" that comes with Prelude to Waterloo will not work with this module but don't worry. This installation will overwrite that file with a customized version provided courtesy of Mr. Alberto Neri.)

1. In the new "Prussia 1806" folder, right-click the file called "Bg_Start.exe" to open the dialog box, and click "create a shortcut"

2. Drag and drop, or otherwise move the shortcut to your desktop. Richt click to rename it "Prussia 1806" or whatever you like.

3. I've included an icon file called "prussia.ico" so you can change the shortcut icon by going to "Properties -> change icon."

Read through the "Designer's Notes" to see what changes have been made to the PDT files for the new Expansion Series.

OPTIONAL RULES FOR PLAY VS THE AI:

Do not play with "VP for Leader Casualties" or "Isolation rules".

We also recommend only using only "Cavalry Counter charge, Extreme Fog of War, and Partial Retreats" for 2 player and vs the AI. 

One thing you will notice about these scenarios is that by design, Cavalry are only worth 4 VP, and victory totals in the game are lower than what you may be used to. This helps the AI scoring without effecting the general play style of a 2 player game. Even minor Cavalry losses will still throw the game.
