* barbarian name for : "order of battle"

All these .map, .oob, .pdt files can be edited by any word processing program. They are .txt format files, only that the .txt extension is changed to ".map", or ".oob", or ".pdt".

The default typing police to use in these files is : COURRIER NEW, size : 10

There are some programs to use for editing these files.

To edit map, you will need :

1/ Talonsoft (c) East front map editor
2/ bob lieb map editor and checksum editor (utility to convert EF2 map to HPS)
3/ or any word processing program (highly recommended AND FREE is Metapad; metapad.zip [46kB] )

To edit oob, you will need :

1/ D.Derwinsky GUI oob editor (available here)
2/ any word processing program (highly recommended AND FREE is Metapad; metapad.zip [46kB] )

To edit pdt, you will need :

1/ any word processing program (highly recommended AND FREE is Metapad; metapad.zip [46kB] )
